Welcome to the website of David Midgley. I am a Meditation Teacher, a Life Coach and a Spiritual Activist. I have called my website ‘Dharma Coach’ because my approach to life coaching is connected to the Buddhist way of self-realisation, the Dharma – however I am definitely not just a ‘Buddhist Coach’.
I draw on 40 years of experience with a wide variety of approaches to personal growth and self-understanding, including a number of contemporary secular methods as well as several different traditional spiritual paths. All seem to me to reflect the same set of basic truths about the nature of human life, the challenges we all face and the helpful and unhelpful strategies we adopt to overcome these, and how we can learn to align our lives better with its natural flow, create harmony and beauty in our lives, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
In particular, I seek to integrate a spiritual approach to life with a deep commitment to social and environmental activism; I believe authentic spirituality demands that we aspire to live our lives in service to the greater well-being of all our fellow-creatures, human and non-human, and to the flourishing of the natural world.
My personal coaching programme, ‘You Are The One … (that the world has been waiting for)’ is designed to support you to find your true purpose and to align your life with your highest values; I believe that this quest is of vital importance for anyone who desires to find true, deep and lasting satisfaction in life. The world needs many more committed and capable individuals who want to make a worthwhile contribution to the future wellbeing of our beautiful planet.
As well as life coaching, I offer spiritual counselling to anyone who feels they need it, regardless of their particular religious affiliation or lack of it. I you are unsure whether it is life coaching or spiritual counselling that you need, this can be clarified during an initial free, no obligation session by telephone, on Zoom or in person.
My new 8 week online course, Finding Peace Amid the Storm, begins on 15 October. This will be a deep and inspiring journey to find new energy, hope and connection to support you on – or into – your activist journey.
